We have an AMAZING offer for you today – a completely and utterly gorgeous printable Christmas countdown calendar for the kids. We wanted to give something to our readers that would help to bring a little more sparkle back into Christmas. This seemed like a lovely idea for an advent calendar. Not only this, but we do have a couple of little paid goodies for you, so that we can generate a little more Christmas fun for our partner charity in their community in Africa: Reverence for Life. Do check them out.
Alongside the FREE version of this calendar that you can get by clicking on the circular image below, we also have an editable version of the printable Christmas countdown advent calendar for £5.95, and a wonderful class giant Christmas countdown too. Both are available in our shop, so do take a look.
The giant one doesn’t have to be for school of course, could be just a fabulously BIG Christmas Countdown for anyone that loves Christmas. We so will be using it…..
Without further shenanigans, let’s see what you need to do with these trees, whether you have the editable versions or not!
NOTE: You can fit these printable Christmas countdown calendars on A3 paper if you want as we have made the resolution high enough to do this. Alternatively, if you don’t have this size of printer, A4 is fine.
We think they are amazing, but we are super biased of course – just LOOK at them though, aren’t they utterly gorgeous?
We do also have a Christmas Countdown one with colour already in it in case your kids don’t like that kind of thing. We are trying our best to make sure we have all kinds of Christmases covered for you.
Small FREE printable Christmas calendar
So have have TWO versions of this for you – just because we are AWESOME.
Coloured in Christmas Tree advent calendar
This is our gorgeous tree for you – and it is a simple task to make the printables; all you need to do is print this and then print out the baubles that we have for you as well:
Guess what is next?
You can cut the baubles out, pop them to one side and then every single day pop one on to the tree.
We think it would be rather fun to keep them hidden from the children each day so that they don’t know which one they are getting. You would even right lovely positive mindful mantras on the back of them to make it more fun/positive too.
Perhaps even just a simple “I love you” on some of them.
It is that easy to make it into a positivity printable Christmas countdown calendar
The giant one (ADD LINK) is even better for this idea – so do check it out.
We have 24 suggestions for things to write – but you decide! Make it up, go check out inspirational of positive quotes on Google. Get creative.
Positivity quotes for kids for your Christmas countdown
Put the mantras onto small pieces of paper if the baubles are too small – and stick the paper to the back. Or shorten them! The idea is that you think positive too, and coming up with your own ideas will help to do that too.
This is just one idea for the tree – you can use it however you want of course. That is the beauty of it. Get creative.
- I love you no matter what,
- You are special,
- You are talented,
- You do well because you work hard,
- Today will be an amazing day,
- I can do ANYTHING I put my mind too,
- You are helpful. Show it today if you can,
- You make me smile every day,
- You light up my life by simply being in it,
- You are fun to be with,
- Making mistakes, helps you learn, and
- Follow your heart
- Life is beautiful, because you are inside and out
- Today, you WILL be awesome
- Learning helps me grow
- Dreams make you powerful. Follow them.
- Read every day. You never know what you might learn.
- Be weird when you want. Weird is GOOD. Weird is fun.
- Small steps take you a long way
- Talking is easy, listening well is harder. Stop, and listen today.
- You are kind.
- Magic is all around you.
- Yes you CAN do it, and finally
- Even the not so good helps. You appreciate the good more.
If you would rather use the tree as a Christmas Tree advent calendar, maybe a clue for where there are some goodies hidden on the back instead!
The possibilities are only limited by your imaginations… 😀 🎄
And the best thing about this Printable Christmas countdown calendar – no plastic, so it is MUCH better for the environment.
Christmas Tree advent calendar for colouring in
We do, of course, have a colouring one for you as well – bet you KNEW we were going to say that. So if you would rather have the kids colour in thir baubles and add them to their tree each day, why not use this one instead?
You can print the tree in colour, or get them to design their own. The baubles themselves can be coloured and added each day of course. Don’t forget to add your positive mantras as well to the back of all the baubles if you want to.
Of course, if you can’t be bothered – don’t!
Check out the editable versions here as well:
Our editable versions of these are £1.99, so pop to the shop to grab these too if you are of a mind to:
Yes – we KNOW they are small, but you can put the mantras on a little slip of paper and stick them on the back if you need to.
If you want to be able to have a bit more room on the back though – get the giant version:
To download BOTH the colouring in and coloured versions of the small tree, please click on the circular image below and they are both yours. Any problems, do drop us a line too. We won’t know there is a problem, unless you tell us.
That’s the small tree, so what about the giant one?
Instructions to make Giant printable Christmas calendar for classrooms and beyond
Alongside the smaller calendar we also have created a GIANT one for you to use in the home or the classroom; just because it is fun! This is chargeable because it is quite a big piece of work, so we would love a bit of a donation to the charity we support if you can. Pop along to the shop to buy it.
We think it is amazingly funky. You are able to add the names to the black and white baubles if you want, or we have ones without these too. In addition, there IS a coloured version if you just want to use positivity phrase on the back of the baubles for each day to inspire the class, or your kids.
In order to make the giant tree, you need to make sure that:
- You have your printer set to print the whole page, with no margins
2. You then need to cut off the extra white space on the edge of the pages (as indicated by the hatching in the above picture) where there are no glue tabs, so that there are no gaps in your tree.
3. Apply glue to the marked areas, and then
4. Glue them together with PVA glue, or a glue stick.
5. Use the images above and below as a guide for you to be able to see where the pieces go. It is a kind of a small 14 piece jigsaw too as well! We did think about putting numbers on the elements, but decided that would ruin the tree, so haven’t bothered in the end!
This is ISN’T a mock up – we really did it, so you can see that it works.
In the shop, there are multiple versions – you can download them all for £4.50 so you can have a play to see which one you prefer: We have:
- Complete giant tree, coloured in,
- Black and white baubles, with an editable field for the name of your child, or without, and
- Coloured in baubles which also have an editable and a non-editable version.
You can put the kids names on the baubles as they do them – or leave them off. In addition, you can also write the positivity mantra’s on the back of each bauble before you give them to your class or children.
It is up to YOU what you do with our tree, we’ve provided it, you let it become magical for them at Christmas 🌲. It costs the same as two coffees, so what are you waiting for:
