Everyone loves to dress up their kids hair, right? From an early age, it seems we are pre-programmed to want to dress up from wearing a Nia Wig when we are little, to going to fancy dress parties when we are proper grown ups! THE most important bit of any dress is the hair; so we thought we would give you a little treat today and share with you some ideas for spicing up your kids’ hair with something special. We’ve got bead craft ideas for kids hair, so that you can keep them busy, and make their hair look cool at the same time!

Cupcake bead pins

These are gorgeous little cupcakes from Do it You Freaking Self – and the pattern for them is really simple to do with the Perler pins as well. Check out the site, and don’t forget to buy some Bobby pins as well so you can complete the craft.

Melted pony bead hair clips

These are really rather cute little designs, made with Perler beads too; and a few other items that you should be able to find at home. Thanks should go to Inspired Mess for this idea.

Hello Kitty bow

This is a rather gorgeous little craft as long as you forgive the wig in this image, which isn’t quite as effective as some of the Lilyhair ones! 😂 🤣 😂

When you get beyond this, and pop over to Crafters in Disguise for a few more details, you will be a little happier about making it!

Cute, and simple. Honest

Pac Man Hama bead hair clips

Being a child of the eighties, Pac Man brings back so many nostalgic memories. And these ghosts are just amazingly cute – so why not have a go at making them? Just get some Hama beds, and stick them on to a plain grip, and voila!

Cute animal bead hair clips

These are the cutest designs ever from Think Crafts, and they include this fox, but also a hedgehog, and a racoon. Do check them out.

We do hope you like these ideas for a little bit of DIY hair crafting for the kids. Something to keep those little hands busy, but also to brighten up all our days as well.

KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania.
