These are some cimple ideas – how about these instructions for a few more complicated ways to use the coloring pages?

1. Create spooky decorations

Why buy decorations when you can make your own? Once your child has finished colouring their favourite characters, carefully cut them out and then:

  • Make a garland: Punch a hole at the top of each picture and thread them onto a piece of string or ribbon. You’ll have a unique, handmade Halloween garland to hang up.
  • Design window clings: Place the coloured-in picture on a flat surface and cover it with a piece of baking paper. Trace the outlines and main details with black puffy paint. Fill in the gaps with a mixture of PVA glue and food colouring. Let it dry completely for a day or two, then carefully peel it off for a spooky window cling.
  • Decorate Trick-or-Treat bags: Cut out the finished pictures and glue them onto plain paper or fabric bags to create a personalised bag for collecting sweets.

3. Craft spooky story puppets
