Reading competition: Join our summer reading challenge to support reading for wellbeing to win

We have launched the most amazing free initiative on the site – and it is happening all the way through the summer until the end of September. We are urging everyone to pick up a book, and read with our reading competition for kids: the #BeWellRead Summer Reading Challenge.

We’ve got over £6000 in prizes to give away to schools and kids that take part:
There is something for everyone.

Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools and age kids are eligible to enter, with different prizes depending on the age of the child. So hurry up, and check out how you enter on the page for this giveaway, and YOU could be in with a chance of winning an amazing prize.

In total, there are 3 schools from each category that will win a prize, but EVEN BETTER is that for all the kids that enter there is a chance for them to win an individual prize too. Those that send in their logs for two, four and six books have a chance to win. There are more than 100 prizes for the kids, including Playmobil bundles, £75 vouchers from Learning Resources, bundles of products from Orchard Toys, Bookeeze from John Adams, Diaries from Pepper and Cute and loads loads more.

Why wouldn’t you enter?

Full details of terms and conditions and entry requirements are within the main summer reader challenge page on the site; alongside the resources that you can download to support your child’s learning.

How to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge

Essentially, send us the children’s reading logs (downloaded from this page) to our email address for the competition (bewellread@kiddycharts.co.uk). You must use a specific naming convention for files, so please, please check the full details on the summer reading challenge page.

In return for submitting your email, we will add your address to our database, and that’s all you have to give us in order to get access to the chance to win.

We accept entries from kids aged 2 to 18; and you will need to tell us your children’s age. If you are submitting for a school, you need to be a designated teacher. Full information on the terms and conditions are available here.

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters.
