Who are Scholastic Book Clubs?

Win with KiddyCharts and Scholastic Books

If you haven’t come across Scholastic Book Clubs before, it’s an initiative that runs in schools and nurseries every half-term, featuring a new, curated selection of books read and chosen by their product experts because of their suitability for your children. Teachers share the new selection with children and parents, who then chose the books they want together. All of the books featured are up to 70% off the RRP – so they’re as affordable as possible for everyone – and every order over £10 earns 20% back for the school in free books. That way, parents can buy books for their children and help stock their school’s libraries and classroom shelves for free!

Each Book Club selection is very varied, and spans three age ranges:

  • Mini, which is 0-6 years,
  • XD, which is 7-11 years, and
  • Teen for 11+ readers.

You’ll find the latest reads from the biggest names like David Walliams and Liz Pichon, classics from authors such as Julia Donaldson, Roald Dahl and Jacqueline Wilson, and great value book packs to make the Clubs as accessible as possible for every reader.

Win £100 worth of books for YOU and for your charity or school of choice!

For each new half-termly Book Club, the Scholastic editors will choose their pick of the books for us and there’ll be something for everyone – regardless of the reading age of your child – so we can make sure you’re never stuck for reading inspiration. To make things more exciting, we’ll be giving one person the chance to win every single one of the books featured (to the value of around £100), as well as the opportunity to donate £100 worth of books to a good cause of their choosing. It could be your school, chosen charity, Surestart centre – whatever you want.

What can you win this summer term?

The first of our giveaways will launch on 6th June – along with the new Summer Book Club, and the announcement of the Laugh Out Loud Awards 2017!

Win 12 great funny books for kids by signing up to KiddyCharts - you'll get the same for your charity of school of choice too!

The awards are designed to celebrate the very funniest books in the world of children’s fiction, and we’ll be celebrating the awards along with Scholastic by giving you the chance to win all twelve funny books on the shortlist – ranging from picture books up to books for 9-13 years. Once the shortlist is announced, Scholastic will be encouraging teacher, parents and – most importantly! – children all over the UK to vote for their favourites. That’s why we love these awards; the winners will be decided completely by your children’s votes, so make sure you have your say.

Get laughing along with us and make sure you sign up to our mailing list to be the first to find out how you can win the complete shortlist!

Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania.
