  • I’m so happy when my Dad….
  • My Dad makes me laugh because…
  • The most fun thing I have done with my Dad is….
  • My Dad is the best because….

All about my Dad,

This section is a chance to describe what your dad is like to you. It could include things like how he is funny, kind, patient, or wise.

My favourite thing to do with my Dad,

This section is a chance to share your favourite thing to do with your dad. It could be anything from playing catch to going for walks in the park.

I love you more than_____ because you are _____

This is a section to compare dad to something that you love, such as ice cream, or TV, and explain why Dad is cooler than that – or you love them more. Pick something that dad will be amazed you choose perhaps, so that dad knows how awesome you think they are!

I’m so happy when my Dad….

This section is a great way to share some of the things that dad SAYS to make you happy. It could include things like telling his silly jokes, or telling you he loves you, or the things he says that always make you feel happy about who you are. Think about what he says that makes you feel awesome and let him know!

My Dad makes me laugh because…

This is a bit of an easy one – what makes me laugh that dad does, it could be anything from tickling you to pulling silly faces. Whatever it is, draw a picture, and let him know how much fun it is!

The most fun thing I have done with my Dad is….

This section is a great way to share some of the activities that you enjoy doing with your dad. It could include things like playing sports, going fishing, going to the movies, or just spending time together talking and laughing.

My Dad is the best because….

This section is a chance to tell your dad why you love him so much. It could include things like how he is always there for you, how he is always supportive of you, or how he is the best role model you could ask for.

It makes me happy when my Dad…

We know this is a bit similar to another section – but this time – let us know what dad DOES to make you feel happy, maybe giving you a hug, or reading you an extra bedtime story, or playing football with you in the garden. Whatever it is that he does that makes you happy, let him know.

How to make your booklet from the download

Once you have downloaded the booklet, all you need to do is:

  • Cut out the pages,
  • Fold the stacked paper in half with the cover page on top,
  • Cover the ink from markers, you can paste the pages together with cardstock.
  • Put your pages together into a book, then use a binder clip to close it,
  • Cut a piece of cardstock that is the length of your pages and big enough to span their width. Place a strip of cardstock over the hot glued edge of the sheets (the side not bound with binder clips), and finally,
  • Before turning the pages, let them completely dry.

Once made. you can pass to the children to fill in OR you can get them to do it all before assembling the booklets. Just make sure any markers are dry, so you don’t smudge them.

You should have a wonderful completed booklet now – similar to the one above!
