This is a sponsored post with Truprint as per our disclosure policy.

You may have noticed that we have been on holiday to Interlaken recently and the kids, and, in fact, the whole family, took some rather lovely pictures.

We were delighted to be asked to review the Truprint personalised photo gifts website so that we were able to take some of those wonderful memories from our holiday and turn them into some stunning photo gifts. My Dad’s birthday is coming up, and what better way to celebrate than to give him a picture of the family as a gift?

The homepage for the site is easy on the eye, though there is a lot of information and places to head off too for photo gifts. It was hard to find where we wanted to go initially, or which products were right for us. However, I suspect this is more to do with the choices available to the consumer, which is no bad thing.

Truprint Photo Gifts: Homepage

We were looking for something to keep our memories; and there is a lot of choice of gifts on the Truprint site as you can see, however, we decided on a Photobook initially to capture the moments from the whole holiday forever.

Every gift can be personalised with your own choices, everything from the dustcover and the theme for the background to the photos, to the size of the photobook you are looking for. The 11in by 8in books are £24.99 with 20 pages in, though you can add extras for £1.49 for 2 pages.

The flexibility of the site for personalising the product is excellent. This does make the set up for your photobooks time consuming, so make sure you know what photos you are going to use, and that you have time to organise and label your pictures.

Be careful your text is within the pages as well, otherwise your words will get cut off in their prime!

Uploading all my photos from Interlaken was simple..

Don’t forget to save your work though, as I struggled with this at first, and lost a bit of time. Look out for the disc icon on your screen to save a bit of heartache ;-)

Once completed, and ordered, the book itself took only a few days to arrive – good turnaround time for something that is so well personalised.

Truprint Photo Gifts: Photobooks

The quality of the book is good overall; the pages aren’t too thin, and the dustcover looks like it might survive a few fiddles from Stuntboy :-D.

Given the range of choices, we were also lucky enough to get a few other photo gifts for the family. The photobook was a personal choice for us, as a keepsake. However, we ordered a couple of acrylics and a canvas as well, to give to friends and family both for Christmas and birthdays

Truprint Photo Gifts: Variety

From left to right: Photo Canvas 12 x 12 (£29.99), 10 x 10 Acrylic print (£39.99) and A5 acrylic block (£34.99)

We were surprised by the variety on the site, and were able to pick some formats that worked with all the photos that we were interested in gifting; from a stunning view in Interlaken as an ornament using the Acrylic block gift option, to a lovely family shot on a 12 x 12 Canvas for my Dad’s birthday.

In summary…

FOR

  • Great choice
  • Wide variety of options means most budgets are catered for
  • Good value
  • Speedy of delivery was excellent

AGAINST

  • Planning is a must
  • Don’t forget to save
  • Difficult to work out how to change the format of photos within the photobook.
