MEEM Memory: How to get a phone backup plan so simple my kids can do it

I love my phone – it’s awesome. BUT, and this is a big but, I don’t love my memory. Nevermind needing a phone backup; I need a memory backup. One that is easy to access.

I used to explain my crap memory away with the excuse that I was pregnant, then that I was looking after young kids, and now, erm, well…age? *I am only 43.

I use my phone for pretty much everything; work, kids entertainment, reminders (see that memory thing again), but most important to me, and the family are the photos. This is why a piece of kit like MEEM Memory is so important. Let me explain in more detail.

I am somewhat of an amateur iPhone photographer. And the thing with photography is that you never quite know when you are going to find that shot that really sums up the moment.

Yes, its “only” a tree. BUT to us and the family, its a beautiful tree. It’s the tree that my children love playing in, and have done since they were tiny. Just like so many photographs, its so much more than the subject, its the whole, the memory; the moment in time it captures. There are literally thousands of pictures on my phone, of Audley End, and beyond. BUT, I can’t remember the last time I did a phone backup. It is just one of those things that you never quite get around to.

This means that if something should happen to my phone, or my other Apple connected, clever, kit, then all those pictures are gone. Forever.

If you do lose the phone, all the info you need is within the cable, so you can restore to a new phone easily; just plug it and play. You can even selectively sync between phones as well.

No more messing about when you upgrade either *considers rushing out to buy a new iPhone.*

The idea of the App and MEEM is that it completely “mirrors” your phone, with minimum effort required. As long as you remember to charge it, you are safe. You can select what info is secured, and information kept is always under your control, so you don’t need to worry about unwanted eyes taking a peak at your pics.

So in a nutshell, its perfect for me because:

• If you lose your phone you aren’t totally stuffed,
• It is so easy to use, my kids could do it,
• There is no reason to worry if you are technically challenged when you upgrade, because its easy to transfer your info from your old phone through the cable, and
• You can even sync between your home and work phone; which is great for my other half and other nutty people who allow work to give them a phone so they are always on ;-).
