MEEM Memory: How to get a phone backup plan so simple my kids can do it

I love my phone – it’s awesome. BUT, and this is a big but, I don’t love my memory. Nevermind needing a phone backup; I need a memory backup. One that is easy to access.

I used to explain my crap memory away with the excuse that I was pregnant, then that I was looking after young kids, and now, erm, well…age? *I am only 43.

I use my phone for pretty much everything; work, kids entertainment, reminders (see that memory thing again), but most important to me, and the family are the photos. This is why a piece of kit like MEEM Memory is so important. Let me explain in more detail.

I am somewhat of an amateur iPhone photographer. And the thing with photography is that you never quite know when you are going to find that shot that really sums up the moment.

Now photos like this, which you just snap because you can, won't be lost if my phone backup doesn't happen. Thanks MEEM memory.

Yes, its “only” a tree. BUT to us and the family, its a beautiful tree. It’s the tree that my children love playing in, and have done since they were tiny. Just like so many photographs, its so much more than the subject, its the whole, the memory; the moment in time it captures. We are lucky enough to live near Audley End; and there has never been a more idyllic place to grow up. This tree invokes so many precious moments. Something I would never want to loose.

Phone Backups mean you don't loose mad pictures of your daughter hanging about in trees - which is nice. I love this shot. So "her".

There are literally thousands of pictures on my phone, of Audley End, and beyond. BUT, I can’t remember the last time I did a phone backup. It is just one of those things that you never quite get around to.

This means that if something should happen to my phone, or my other Apple connected, clever, kit, then all those pictures are gone. Forever.

This is why MEEM fits well into to the family memory arsenal. Thankfully, you have to do very little yourself to add it to your toolkit.

Which. I. Like. Lots

The MEEM Memory cable is so so simple. You plug it in, it does a phone backup for you. There is nothing more to say on it.

There is an app associated with the MEEM Memory cable, so that whenever you plug your phone in to a charger; it backs up the contents of your phone, so you can restore from that back up. If you do lose the phone, all the info you need is within the cable, so you can restore to a new phone easily; just plug it and play. You can even selectively sync between phones as well.

No more messing about when you upgrade either *considers rushing out to buy a new iPhone.*

MEEM acts as a mirror for your phone - backing everything up for you as soon as you connect. A simple way to do a phone backup - with just an app required to help.

The idea of the App and MEEM is that it completely “mirrors” your phone, with minimum effort required. As long as you remember to charge it, you are safe. You can select what info is secured, and information kept is always under your control, so you don’t need to worry about unwanted eyes taking a peak at your pics.

So in a nutshell, its perfect for me because:

  • If you lose your phone you aren’t totally stuffed,
  • It is so easy to use, my kids could do it,
  • There is no reason to worry if you are technically challenged when you upgrade, because its easy to transfer your info from your old phone through the cable, and
  • You can even sync between your home and work phone; which is great for my other half and other nutty people who allow work to give them a phone so they are always on ;-).

You will need iOS 7 or higher for the iPhone version, and there is an Android one as well. The product retails at £39.99; but what price those precious memories, right?

MEEM Memory phone backup allows you to keep those treasured memories save -just like this one. My daughter is playing with the hats at Audley End. Who'd have thought it would create one of my favourite photos ever?

This is one of those moments – my daughter playing with the bowler hat dress up in the stables at Audley End – who’d have thought something so simple would create such a perfect memory?

This is a sponsored post; but keeping those treasured photos is important to every parent out there, so why not give MEEM a go?
