We have a wonderful game for you all to build – this is the flat version of our Royal Game of Ur template, inspired by the Royal Game of Ur, which was discovered in the city of Ur in Ancient Eygpt in the 1920s. It’s a lovely 2 player strategy game that goes back as far as the early third millenium BC.
For full details on the game and how to build it – check out our article, but just so you get an idea the game is to run the course of the board and bear all one’s pieces off before one’s opponent. The game is similar to modern backgammon and it combines elements of both strategy and luck.
We are sure that the kids will love this. You can, as always, download this for free IN THE ABOVE ARTICLE, but do remember that we are a social enterprise. If you want to donate so that we can support our charity a little more, please do feel free to do so by downloading this product through this shop instead.
We have 2 versions of the game, this flat version and a 3D version. Go to our 3D Game of Ur version and why not download them both? You will have hours of family fun regardless of which option you choose to download. Or why not start with this one so your kids can get to know the game a bit more and the move on to the 3D version? Either way, it will be lots of fun for all.
