These are really rather magnificent – giant advent calendars for Christmas that you put together with the kids to create a wonderfully BIG tree that you can then add your personalised (or not!) baubles to every day in the countdown to Christmas.
This is a perfect little idea to help make Christmas a little bit special wither for your classroom, or your family. For classes, give a bauble to each of the children to design – or a few of them. Put their names on them, and pick a few to go on the tree each day.

As our article on the tree suggests, you can also write mantras on the back, clues to a scavenger hunt each day, or just lovely messages. Whatever you want – the choice is yours!
To find out how to build the tree, scroll down to the bottom of the article. You need a big wall to pop this as it is made from 16 sheets of A4 paper – you will need two blank sheets to complete it like we have in the picture. It measures c. 1.2m x 1.7m so make sure you have enough space. If you don’t, download our smaller calendars instead!
We have both a colouring in and a coloured version for you in the download file, so you decide what you want to do and run with it!
