Printable trip planner for parents or families

We love a holiday on KiddyCharts, which is why we have such an extensive travel section on the site. We want you all to enjoy your holidays as much as we do, which is why we have created a printable trip planner for parents and families.

This is going to help you get your trip planned, and perfect before you leave the front door. We also have ideas within it for recording your favourite places within the trip too.

The first thing to do when you are planning a holiday, is to make sure you have picked the right destination. We have a few ideas within our travel section, including Italy and The Netherlands, as well as some within the UK too.

You’ll also need to make sure you have the itinerary ideas ready, as well as your mode of transport. Are you going to use a rental car, or rely on public transport?

What included in the printable trip planner

The first three pages, within this free 9-page pack, including the cover, and two very important planning pages for your trips as a family:

  • Itinerary, which incorporates:
    • Information on the accommodation during your trip, and
    • Things to see on the way too, in our section on essential stops.
  • Must see ideas for the trip, including
    • Places to eat,
    • Things to do,
    • Your schedule, and finally
    • Date and location: so you can print more than one of these for any of the attractions that you are going to do.

Our next two sheets within the trip planner help you to stay on track with your packing and expenses in the holiday. Our expense sheet includes a budget goal, to help make sure you aren’t overspending on the vacation too.

The last pages are to record the memories from the trip.

We have provided you with a sheet to add your photos to help with the memories of the trip, alongside any tickets that you might like to stick into the trip planner.

Finally, there are a couple of journal pages for you to add your thoughts from the trip to as well. you can, of course, print out more of them if you need to do so.

We have loads of other planner resources on the site. Do have a little look at what we here alongside this resource for your holiday. You might want to print out a few activities for the kids from either our printables or activities areas on the site too.

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters.
