We have just had an excellent event on the site for the last 31 days – 31 days of learning. It has really captured our readers’ imagination. From free printable learning activities to a plethora of STEM activites we have you covered! The best thing is you don’t have to do these activities for kids all in one go. You don’t even have to do them all each day. The beauty of having these inspirational articles is that you can either:
- Pick any day and do them one after the other over the course of any 31 days that you fancy OR
- Print out the calendar and tick them off as you go one by one on whatever days you fancy. There really are no hard and fast rules for this at all.
There is no pressure to inspire your kids eery single day with learning activities – in fact, who REALLY has time to do that anywhere given everything else parents, whether stay at home or working parents, have to get done?
You can dip into this calendar as and when you feel like it, or whatever articles work for you and the age of your kids. Some thoughts are suitable for toddlers, and some are more relevant to slightly older kids.
The key theme with all of them is to have fun while learning, and to teach something no matter how small. Anything from motor skills, to understanding more about specific conditions, such as Diabetes or Autism.
Examples of the type of learning activities we have include:
- A spot of Balloon science to help kids with their STEM learning,
- Some rhyming word games to encourage literacy and reading skills,
- Phonics letter cards to help with letter recognition and reading skills, and
- Help with encouraging mark making to develop motor skills for writing.
