Free beach essentials checklist: Get your kids helping to pack!

Are you off on holiday to the beach? Then you'll need to make sure you've packed everything you need - why not print out our beach essentials list for the holiday so you don't forget a thing :-D

Antigua Long Beach

We are dreaming of beaches here at KiddyCharts, not least because we have spotted some rather lovely ones in Antigua, including the above gorgeous shot of Long Beach on the island. Doesn’t it just make you want to kick of your shoes, and dip your toes into clear crystal water?

For those of you thinking of going away, you couldn’t do much better than the bays, and shores around Antigua and Barbuda in the West Indies. But what do you need to take with you on your beach trip? We have put together a beach essentials checklist, full of the items that you, and your family, will need while basking in the Antiguan sunshine.

We have split our beach essentials into four different sections to make things a little easier to remember as well…

6235 - ABTALogo-01(1)For the Sun

  • Sun hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Sun cream
  • Parasol
  • Sunshade
  • Lip balm.

For the Sea

  • Armbands
  • Ball
  • Bodyboard
  • Wet suit
  • Googles
  • Inflatables
  • Swimming costume
  • Surf board
  • Flippers
  • Rubber ring.

For the Sand

  • Bucket
  • Spade
  • Wind break
  • Rug
  • Cricket set
  • Football
  • Beach ball
  • Frisby
  • Flip-flops
  • Waterproof bag (if you take your phone)
  • Towel
  • Talc

For Sustenance

  • Water
  • Soft drinks
  • Sandwiches
  • Snacks
  • Baby Food (if required)
  • Your purse/wallet (in case you want to buy food)
  • Carrier bags (For rubbish/recycling).

Can you see what we did there? We do love a little alliteration here, really helps to keep things in the memory.

The great thing about this checklist is that it is colourful enough that the kids will want to help you pack, so keep them occupied looking for the suncream, while you have a little break from all the packing, to plan your visit properly. From zip-lining, to off roading; there is plenty to do on the islands. In fact, there are at least 25 must do activities on Antigua and Barbuda to keep you busy. Which one would you like to do the most?

Enough of my Antiguan imaginings though, below is the checklist for you to take away with you. Next time you are looking for a beach holiday – why not look a little further field and check Antigua and Barbuda out – and in the meantime perhaps follow them on Facebook to continue to dream!

A free printable for everyone going on holiday to the beach - make sure you take all the essentials, from sunglasses, to lip balm - we've got it covered!

Good solid list! You want to know what I love the most about this list? It doesn't require an iPad or any gadget! Just some good ol' (and safe) fun in the sand and sun!

Those beach checklists are very useful, especially in Dubai. The best place to enjoy and relax at the same time!

I've read about those waterproof bags for cell phones. I wonder if they really work to keep cell phones dry. This was a good list. I like that you had "carrier bags" on it. I never remember them, but I'm always looking for a place to throw away my trash.

not seeing the water shoes on the Beach list. Not always necessary but sometimes you want them as there are rocks or stones on the beach
