Becky from Baby Budgeting – Parenting Blogging All Stars #1

We are starting a new series today on KiddyCharts, spotlighting some of the wonderful parent bloggers out there, and their equally wonderful advice.

First up is Becky from Baby Budgeting……

Your Name:
Becky Goddard-Hill

Blog Name:
Baby Budgeting

What are the sexes and ages of your children?:

Frankie M 8
Annalise 5 F

What got you into parent blogging?:
I wrote a book “How to afford time off with your baby” (Vermilion 2009) and I started blogging to support the book launch…now its my full time job!!

What is your top parenting tip to share with our readers?

Let them know when they are stressed and out of control that you are alongside them and love them through it…don’t add to their stress/distress by shouting.

Talking thorugh and consequences can come later if needed. They need to know they are safe and loved when they feel out of control

Can you share a parenting advice post with us from your blog too; your favourite one? Please include the link.:

This is about my mum being the best every storyteller. Sadly mum died before I wrote this. It was a finalist in best blog post at The MADS parent blogging awards in 2011. My mum believed in real heroes and she was mine.

Who’s your favourite parent blogger at the moment and why?:
My favourite parent blogger is Penny Alexander form the Alexander Residence. She writes memories  for her children ‘little legacies’ and then inspires me to do the same. She writes beautifully and really values her experiences and her family and this shines through.

If you would like us to cover your blog here, then do drop us a line. All you need to do is fill out the parent blogging allstars form and you are away! We will feature a new blogger that we like every few weeks or so; you’ve got to be in it to win it!

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters. She loves to be creative in the brand campaigns she works on. Get in touch TODAY!

Sharing is caring!
