Snappertime: Get the kids active, and WIN a busy bundle too!

Half-term is upon us, and we will all, as parents, be trying desperately not to fall into the trap of giving our kids a little bit too much tablet/screen time so we can finish. our. tea. in. peace. Enter Snappertime.

This is a wonderful new website, specifically designed to help kids to drop their tablets (not literally of course), and get stuck in to lots of different activities to encourage adventure, exploration, and creativity. And the best thing about it? It is FREE to sign up. Hurry though, as the first 500 to register receive a free Snappertime bundle to say thanks for joining!

Snappertime offers rewards and real gifts for kids that get off their computers and get stuck into their activities!

The idea is much like that classic eighties TV show which I remember all too well:

WHY DON’T YOU switch off that TV and go out and do something less boring instead.”

It is even more challenging now to get kids away from their screens, but Snappertime incentivises the kids with REAL rewards. All your kids need to do is:

  1. Get away from those screens,
  2. Pick a great challenge from the five different categories within the site; Super Science, Great Outdoors, Tasty Tasks, Arty Farty, and Super Hero,
  3. Upload a picture of the completed challenge and send it in to Snappertime for your child’s Doodle Coins,
  4. Keep collecting those coins everytime you do your challenges, and finally
  5. Exchange them for real life actual rewards!

Snappertime has five different kinds of challenges for the kids to get stuck into, so there really is something for everyone on there!

Challenges range from football related ones like Spinderella, to arty ones where you can even make a polar bear puppet, and of course, baking challenges for those little cooks amongst us. Who wouldn’t want to make their own chocolate buttons? There is something for everyone. The Super Hero challenges are designed to help others too, so it isn’t all about your kids.

Rewards are many and varied too! They are updated regularly, but to give you a sneak peak – this month’s include a Bear Nibbles hamper, some Seedball goodies, a bundle of Emily’s crisps, delicious yoghurts from The Collective, Timex kids watches, and a jazzy Junior Wool buff.

We are celebrating the launch of Snappertime by offering all our readers the chance to win a cool kids bundle.

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters.
