#Win new baby hamper in partnership with Natwest’s cost of raising a child tool

Cost of raising a child: hamper

NatWest have recently created a handy tool called the Cost of Raising a Child Calculator. It allows you to enter in your own costs per week across a variety of different items giving you an estimate as to how much your little one will cost you over the span of a year. You can even check your spending against the national average to give you a better idea of whether you’re overspending or whether you’re already budgeting well!

Cost of raising a child

The tool covers ages from newborn right up until their 18th birthday, so it’s perfect for both new parents and existing parents alike. It’s a great way to help manage your money and estimate how much you may need to save for the future.

After using the tool, for those of you who are expecting the arrival of a little one, or simply know someone else who is, here’s your chance to win either a baby boy or baby girl hamper. The hamper will contain useful items for the baby as well as some well-earned goodies for Mum and Dad!

Baby Boy Hamper: Keel Toys “Baby Boy” Teddy Bear 18cm, Baby Bib, Organic Baby Care Bubble Bath 250ml, Brush and Comb Set, Organic Skincare Baby Wipes (72 Wipes), Scratch Mitts, Socks, Chocolaterie Diane Belgian Mixed Truffles 50g

Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. In the early days nappys and milk I found to be really expensive. I'm finding now as they are older it's the toys they want for birthdays and Xmas. Games consoles, I pads etc!

Twice a year things get very expensive for me - Christmas and the Summer Holidays! I have to budget very carefully as I find that buying the Christmas presents and the school uniforms costs an absolute fortune when you have 7 at school! (I also have a toddler & new baby.)
