Redhead BabyledThis week’s Parenting All Star is Donna from Redhead Babyled.  Donna has 2 children, one of each, and started her blog when she couldn’t find much info on baby led weaning.  Let’s hear more from her:

Your Name:

Donna Wishart

Blog Name:

Redhead Babyled

What are the sexes and ages of your children?:

I have my Daughter, Little Pickle, who’s 2 and a half and my ‘Little Man’ who’s 9 months.

What got you into parent blogging?:

When I started weaning my Daughter there wasn’t very much information around about Baby Led Weaning so I thought I’d start a blog to document our weaning progress. Nearly 2 years later and it’s evolved so much from there!

What is your top parenting tip to share with our readers? Can be on any topic for little ones :-) (under 8s):

Try not to compare your child to other children – whether it’s their sleeping habits, the ways they need comfort, potty training, walking, talking or other behaviours. All children are different, they all develop at their own speeds and they all learn things at different times. Don’t compare – just enjoy your children.

Can you share a parenting advice post with us from your blog too; your favourite one? Why do you like this post? Please include the link for us.:

One of my favourite parenting posts is ‘An Insight Into My Childhood’ – It wasn’t a very popular post as it was quite controversial but I love it because of how honest I am about something that I’ve always been quite embarrassed and resentful about. http://redheadbabyled.com/2013/08/02/an-insight-into-my-childhood/

Who’s your favourite parent blogger at the moment and why? Please include a link to their blog home page.:

It has to be Hurrah For Gin http://hurrahforgin.com/ – Every time I read this blog I can relate and I laugh. It’s funny, honest and a god
read written by someone that isn’t afraid to say it how it is.
