I owe you all a drink.
Probably a very large one, with a nice slice of lemon in it, or perhaps even a cherry on a cocktail stick, for the more sophisticated visitor….
But three (yes THREE) lovely ladies from Cambridgeshire have made it into the top 100 business mums in the UK:
- Kelly Compton from Saffron Crafts (@saffroncrafts)
- Helen Neale from @KiddyCharts (that’s me, you know…we allow you to build personalised charts for YOUR kids, not someone else’s, YOUR kids)
- Anna Wilmot Bowkis from Anna Bowkis Photography (@AnnaBowkis)
And yes, that is IN THE UK, not in my street, your street or even my husband’s garden shed; across the WHOLE of the country.
But even better than that, the wonderful Maria Albertsen from Rag Heroes who writes some lovely blogs for us on a weekly basis is also included. So KiddyCharts have a whole team (ahem) in there!
So thanks so much to all of you that voted for us; its really made all the difference in getting us there.
Chatterbox was so excited, she even said,
Mummy, does that mean you’re going to be on telly?”
I hope to god not, love. I am still the same size I was after I gave birth to you seven years ago; they’d need more than a wide angle for that one!
Hello to all the other 96 that have made it as a Top 100 business mum awards finalist. And thanks also to Ally Pinney and Jane Hopkins for organising the MumsClub Business Mum Awards.
Tarting for media coverage; sorry, I mean asking politely for it with press releases and everything…
There is a twist in the awards this year. We are now in a bid to find out who amongst the 100 is the most media savvy. So, if anyone wants to mention our inclusion in the MumsClub Top 100 (#mctop100), in their blog, or Facebook page, then please do. Even tweeting this will help, with the relevant hashtag. We would love a mention. Every mention gives us points, so hurry up; tweet away!
If you want any more information on the awards, me, the other lovely ladies, or the answer to where all the socks in your house have gone, do drop me a line.
May the best media tart win! Sorry…is that just me?

Congratulations on making it onto the Mums Club Top 100 Mums in Business 2012 list! Wishing you every success

Maria Albertsen recently posted..Why it is so important to me for my own boys to play with dolls…
We are all in the same boat – but we are all still fabulous! I’ve got a few years on you though, Maria – so much less of an excuse for not having lost the baby weight
