Reading Eggs is a great way for the kids to learn to read - and we've got a free trial for FIVE weeks for you - pop along an find out more!

KiddyCharts is all about gentle encouragement.

There are very few things worth encouraging more in a child than a love of reading. Reading is at the heart of all learning. It goes beyond the ability to read and enjoy a book; it’s about understanding instructions, being able to find your way in life, and being taking control of your own destiny. Reading gives you THE power.

This is why we have teamed up with Reading Eggs to offer you all a Reading Eggs free trial for a five week period* so that you can harness the power of technology to turn a reluctant reader into a reading demon.

We offered a Reading Eggs free trial before alongside our product review for the company and it proved popular. My daughter loved the product. Even my son took very well to being able to collect his eggs and build his own little world on his computer.

We live in a technological age where our children are more tech savvy than us much of the time. Why not use this love of the new, and the digital to help children to embrace their reading challenges?

Reading Eggs Free Trial: PlayroomThe Reading Eggs tree trial will give you access to the interactive online programs for children learning to read. The Reading Eggs program is for 3-7 year olds and includes 120 literacy lessons, 96 spelling lessons, a creative writing factory, 20 comprehension and grammar lessons and much more! Reading Eggspress is for 7-13 year olds and uses a highly engaging spinning island where children are instantly involved and interested. The range of activities motivates students to return regularly to complete lessons, compete against others, earn more rewards and improve their skills. Within the program there are 200 comprehension and grammar lessons, a library with over 1000 e-books and much more!

If you can’t find something within the Reading Eggs free trial that suits your kids then, well, slap me and call me a kipper. *not really obviously*

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters. She loves to be creative in the brand campaigns she works on. Get in touch TODAY!

Looks like a great app. I'll be looking at this for my kids. Anything that encourages them to read is good in my book.
